FFA Tournament Instructions and Rules

How do I know when I play? What do I need to do to get in the match?
Brackets will be posted on Friday October 21st 2011 and be updated throughout the events. Always check the brackets for your next match information.

On the brackets, each match has been assigned a specific starting time, referee, and map(s).

Send your assigned referee a text message so they can invite you into the lobby. You have 5 minutes to accept the invite from the referee.

If there is no message or response within 5 minutes of the scheduled start of the match, you will forfeit. We have a limited amount of time and the tournament cannot wait for you.

Keep it Clean
The referee will briefly remind everyone of our “Keep It Clean” rule which basically means no trash talking or insulting another player or team at any time during the tournament. Participants who are in violation of this rule will be ejected from the tournament. You will not receive a refund for your entry donation if you are removed from the tournament for violating this rule. If you feel you may have a problem with this, mute yourself or go into a party chat with your teammate.

During the Game
When the game begins, DO NOT MOVE. The referee needs 1 minute to get to their hiding spots. All referee hiding spots are accessible by jet packs and are not normal parts of the map. Please do not jet pack to the referee areas! If asked, the referee can let you know where the spot is before the start of the match. You will be disqualified if you are found to be purposely trying to get to the referee spot.

When the time hits “14:00” minutes, you can begin playing.
The referee will monitor the connection and make sure the game is playable. We cannot guarantee that everyone will have a smooth lag-free game. The referee can decide to restart the match once if they find that the game is too laggy for everyone, they must decide within the first 3 minutes of the game. If the game is too laggy for just one person, the match will continue.

If a player drops from the match, the referee will send an invite to that player. The game will continue as normal while the player is being re-invited.

DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS, after 3 minutes of game time we will be unable restart the game, if a player drops or there is lag within the first 3 minutes we will attempt ONE restart of the game.

Tie Breakers
Most kills, least deaths, most assists.

At the end of the game, your referee will add the results to the bracket and may inform you when your next match occurs.

Remember!
Always check the brackets to find your next match information.
