We will be closing registration for the FFA, 2v2, and 4v4 tomorrow, October 15th at 9 PM PST / 12 AM EST. Please check the confirmed players lists to make sure your GT is spelled correctly. You can find the confirmed players lists on the event info page of each event. If you registered, but do not see your name on the confirmed players list, e-mail: flagtournament@gmail.com, as soon as possible. No incomplete teams will be seeded on the brackets, so if your team is missing a player, they need to register before tomorrow 9 PM PST. For those randoms who do not have a team, but signed up for the team events, you will be merged into a team.

Brackets for the FFA, 2v2, and 4v4 will be seeded and posted on Friday. The brackets will have match info, assigned referees, and scheduled start times. You will need to check the brackets throughout the tournament!

The Play With Bungie event will accept registrations throughout the weekend, or until all slots are filled. Currently, we have plenty of room on Sunday. Saturday is almost full, with the morning and evening slots already full.

You have a choice to play either a 2v2 against Bungie in Halo 3 custom games, or play WITH Bungie in Halo 3: ODST in Firefight mode. You will have approximately 20 – 30 minutes of playtime, which means spots are extremely limited! To sign up, just head on over to the registration page and click the “Play With Bungie” donate button. So, find a buddy and register today!

If you’re participating in other FLAG tournament events, no worries! We will schedule your time with Bungie so it does not conflict with your tournament matches. If you want to play on multiple teams in the Play With Bungie event, that is fine, but we are going to limit you to 3 teams so others have a chance to play as well. The last day to register for this year’s FLAG tournament is Thursday, October 15th at 9 PM pacific / 12 AM eastern. When the deadline passes, you will be unable to register for any of the events. You can, however, continue to make donations. As of today, we still have plenty of room in all the events but we would like you to register soon so that you are confirmed and ready to go without any worries. If you have already registered, that’s awesome! Your final step is to make sure you are listed on the “confirmed players” list. If you registered, but do not see your team/gamertag on the confirmed players list, shoot us an e-mail so we can fix it: flagtournament@gmail.com
 
On Friday October 16th, the brackets will be seeded and posted online so you can see who you will be playing, what maps/gametypes to expect, and who will be your referee. When you find out who is your referee, send them a text message on XBL so they can invite you when your match is scheduled to begin. The brackets will have all information you will need for the tournament including exact times matches begin. It is your responsibility to check the brackets as it is updated after every match.
 
One of the more common questions I receive is “How do you determine the brackets?” The brackets are seeded randomly. I know some people use a random number generator, but I like to do it old school. I write every person’s gamertag on a little card. Shuffle them, mix them, toss them in a bag, and shake it. And then I deal them out, face down, into stacks (aka matches). We don’t look at your stats and we don’t have you do a qualifier. From past experience, most matches seem pretty evenly matched, and with double elimination, you’re given a 2nd chance if you happen to get matched up with some tougher competitors.
